What's new for 2022.
The 2022 Forester received a mid-cycle refresh featuring a much bolder front-end design with new 'blocky' headlights and a revised grille. The most significant addition was the all-new 'Wilderness' trim, which increased ground clearance to 9.2 inches and added all-terrain tires, a front skid plate, and a reinforced roof rack capable of supporting 800 lbs (static).
Technologically, the Forester debuted the fourth generation of EyeSight, which featured a wider field of view and improved software. A new gesture-based climate control system was introduced for the Touring trim, allowing drivers to change the temperature by showing their palm or a fist to a sensor.
